HOLIDAY RECEIVING TIMES

The Christmas season is fast upon us. This means typically 3x the normal amount of inventory deliveries for clients.
In the past, we have always advised clients that receiving times can and most likely will be longer than normal. During the 1st and 3rd quarters, we say 2-3 business days from “dock to stock” is the typical receiving time.
Receiving times during the Christmas season, most specifically starting in mid- November, should be anticipated to take longer and we ask that you plan accordingly, as much as possible.

During the Christmas season, we do not extend the option of “expedited receiving” for the $35.00 fee, due to limited space in the staging area when inventory first arrives, and in the spirit of fairness to all clients during this busy time. We are working 10 hour days and weekends as needed.

    @Stephen,

    FedEx SmartPost (Economy Post) is offered at a discounted price because it is a slower version of standard ground ship methods.  Even at any other time of the year we let clients know that it can take 3-7 business days longer, and we have seen upwards of 10 business days, depending on the area to which it is traveling.  Therefore, this is the reason that the cut-off mark is so much earlier than the other ship methods.  If it is something a customer is counting on for Christmas, this is both FedEx', and our recommendation.  Thank you for your question!

    Why are there 2013 dates listed?  Assuming those should be 2014?

    I do not understand why FedEx SmartPost (Economy Post) – December 8th, 2014  Has such an early cut-off date.  Does it take more than 14 days?
